The project concerns one mobility in Italy involving as participants 30 specialist teachers (engineers, economists, foremen) into two groups: 06-12.11.2014 and 12-18.03.2015.
The 30 teachers are part of four technological highschools from Dambovita associated in a consortium, due to the identification of several mutual concerns: the same needed training in evaluating and organizing internships, the same pathway of education, that is technology, the similar educational offer like the highschool classes and professional classes.
The main criteria in the selection group will be: the quality of specialized teacher who is teaching modules in the „Technology” curricular area, teachers with experience in the organization, conduct and evaluation of student internships and little knowledge of the English and Italian languages.
The objectives are:
- to develop competences and skills assessment of the 30 specialist teachers who will participate in the exchange of experience in order to harmonize the assessment system internships practised in our country to the European level;
- to identify focusing on skills new methods and assessment tools of the practical training of students by sharing experience and good practice between participating teachers and the partner institution;
- to value the European partner practices in terms of organizing partnerships of practice to the economic agents;
- to wide the professional and cultural horizons;
- to improve language skills;
- to develop new European partnerships
The activities which will be achieved by the objectives of the project will consist of:
- Assistance to practical training courses carried out by Italian teachers and trainers;
- Round – Tables based on the following themes:
a) Methods and tools for the evaluation of the results achieved during the periods of practice in point of knowledge, competences and abilities;
b) Planning practical training periods during the school year;
c) Documents required to design and conduct practical training courses;
- Workshops:
a) Developing assessment tools centred on competences;
b) Developing an evaluation programme;
c) Developing a curriculum for the practical training courses centred on the development of skills;
d) Using the method of working as a team (a teacher of foreign language and a professional teacher) in point of learning and implementing effectively a foreign language on the open labour market;
e) A learner’s portfolio;
f) A student’s courses from the practical training courses;
g) Debates;
h) Visits to the economic agents involved in carrying out the practical training courses.
The strategy used in the project: SAIP Formazione SRL from Anzio will host two mobility flows, each one with 15 participants. The mobility internship will include five days during which the above activities will be carried out. Even from the first day of the program, there will be an individual training plan for each participant, this way allowing, the evaluation of all personal resources. Throughout the program, a tutor will be appointed who will provide assistance in developing individual and group work.
The results to be achieved in this project are:
- 30 teachers will have increased skills in evaluating and organizing practical training internships,
- A brochure of good practices;
- A student’s notebook to be used during the courses of practical training;
- A CDL;
- Four training workshops of the other teachers involved in the project.
The impact of the project will concern those teachers who will develop their professional training and will contribute to the development of the European dimension of school by implementing tools and methods used by the European schools that they have visited recently.
The project will have an impact on the students who will also benefit from new tools for assessing skills, acquired during the courses of practice, during internships in the companies which will facilitate their integration on the labour market. This project will also enhance the school’s prestige among the local community.
Throughout the project there will be implemented dissemination activities, such as:
- Articles in the school paper and also in the local newspaper;
- There will be a billboard about the project;
- Important materials from the project will be posted on the school website;
- A brochure of good practices;
- 30 leaflets with information on the project and about KA1 – VET learner and staff mobility;
- 4 workshops;
- 30 portfolios of individual participants in the project;
- Presentation of the results;
- A final report presented in front of the Board of Administration and also in front of the Teachers’ Council.
