The E-AUCTION project idea is based to the successful model of the Italian Online Commodity Exchange (Borsa Merci Telematica Italiana - BMTI), developed and managed by the Union of Italian Chambers of Commerce. The project focuses on the development of an e-auction market platform for agri-food products, accessible from any personal computer connected to the internet. The agri –food platform offers new trade opportunities. In fact, both buyers and sellers have the possibility to establish relationships with a greater number of operators, widening their business potential.The main objectives of the project are:Recording and regrouping of the local agri-food products, with an aim to explore and determine their export prospectsThe development of an on-line platform to support market operations from remote locations on a continuous basisStrengthening of entrepreneurship in the rural sector, by providing active support to local producers and business communityEnhancement of extroversion in the cross-border regionMain actions include a marketing plan for the promotion of local products and services in Italy and Germany, development of the e-platform in three languages and provision of training services for internal and external users, business missions, participation in exhibitions, business coaching and enriched publicity activities.
