The @Iditec project will design, develop and introduce a new professional profile specifically for ‘Local Agents for Technological Dynamisation’, with the objective of satisfying an identified need for innovation and technological dynamisation within micro-enterprises and SMEs in European peripheral or rural areas. The project builds upon the findings of a number of previously funded national and European projects and expands upon the current role of Innovation Agents and Technology Consultants/Mentors. The Local Agent for Technological Dynamisation will support SMEs and micro-enterprises in the definition and implementation of innovation strategies, particular in relation to new technologies, quality, environment, legislation and production, providing solutions from an operational and commercial point of view and focussing specifically upon short-term implementation. Project partners will define, design, pilot and validate an online training programme and system for certification specific to this new profile and will present the results for official recognition as occupational training (2 of the project partners have specific expertise in the area of accreditation). The end results of the project will include an outline profile for the Local Agent for Technological Dynamisation, an online training programme and outline assessment/certification methodology for the new profile, a manual of training content and a guide to the online training course. The majority of products will be produced electronically and in English although certain elements of the web platform will feature in all partner languages. Dissemination will include the production of project specific leaflets for circulation to potential users, e-marketing, articles to relevant press/journals, a series of information seminars and a final conference presenting the project results.
