Development and Implementation of an Accredited Cross-Universities Innovation Management Master Program in Tunisia (DICAMP)
Start date: Oct 15, 2011,
The project DICAMP contributes to the modernization of study programs curricula in Tunisian universities, by introducing a new master program in innovation management. The master program complies with the requirements of the bologna agreement and is adapted to the economical and cultural environment of Tunisia. DICAMP mainly consists of two stages, which are carried out within a period of three years. The first stage is focused on the conceptual development of the master program; the European and Tunisian institutions jointly elaborate the concept and participate in master program design workshops. This results in a modern prototype of master studies, developed according to the specific guidelines of an internationally reputable accreditation institute. The approvals of the ministry of higher education are organized in this phase in order to satisfy the formal requirements for the next stage, which aims to roll-out and implement the master program. In this phase of the project, European and Tunisian lecturers do the courses and supervise Tunisian students in project studies and master theses. The European lecturers do almost half the courses of the first master class and carry out capacity building programs, thus conveying to the Tunisian staff the required skills and competencies to ensure the continuity of the master program beyond the project lifetime. Six lectures of the European professors will be video recorded and put online. The quality of the master program is fostered by two further activities; the first activity is the development and implementation of a laboratory of innovation management in Tunisia and the second one is the certification of the master program through an international accreditation institute. The laboratory of innovation management will be equipped with an Internet Platform for collective innovation that will boost the cooperation of the consortium’s institutions beyond the project lifetime.
