The main aims of the projects are wider promotion of university sports and its values, on European level in general, and in particular working on ensuring the best conditions for the European Universities Games 2016. Together, we wish to develop and upgrade national level of the university sport in European countries and adding European dimensions. Through the service in this project, the EVS volunteers will be assisting in achieving higher organizational competences, diversification and range of recreational and competitive sport activities among students. Organization of university sport in several European countries will be explored, seeking best practices and taking cultural, socio-economic and other specifics into account. Within the project, two EVS volunteers will be chosen for a service with a period of 12 months (between September 2015 and August 2016). Most of the activities will be carried out from the EUSA office in Ljubljana, Slovenia. For special events (conferences and sports events), some travel opportunities will also be made possible. During the timeline of the project, a few very specific activities will be organised together with the EVS volunteers for engaging young people – the educational events (Convention and Conference are already planned), sporting events (focus on European Universities Games), promotional activities (media and communication work) and social responsibility programs (anti-doping, gender equality, prevention of violence, youth employmnet).
