Overall objective of project is developing and strengthening the co-operation and knowledge transfer between research institutions, enterprises, non-governmental, public and local administration units in the Polish-Ukrainian cross-border area. Project is also about preparing complete organisational and technological solutions using Ukrainian zeolitic tuff, ready for further implementation works in enterprises and creating cohesive conceptions, procedures and tools of knowledge exchange between the sphere of research and the sphere of enterprises in the Polish-Ukrainian cross-border region.As a result of the project implementation a functioning, institutionalised co-operationnetwork will be created – the Cross-border Zeolitic Tuff Cluster. Moreover, proposals ofready to implement technological solutions for using zeolitic tuff in the manufacture ofconstruction materials, environment protection and agriculture will be made. At the sametime, the transfer of knowledge and technology between the research sphere and thesphere of enterprises in the Polish-Ukrainian cross-border area will be developed.In the short and medium-term perspective, the final beneficiaries of the project will bethe inhabitants of the Polish-Ukrainian cross-border area, who will be able to benefit fromthe development of enterprises and research institutions – the number of these personsmay be estimated at over 1000 (entrepreneurs, workers, scientists, Ph.D. students andother students).In the long-term perspective, the beneficiaries of the project will the communitiesresiding in the Polish-Ukrainian cross-border area, who will benefit from its economicdevelopment.
