EstonianFranceDanceShare is a youth exchange that will involve 20 young people, the organization Braslavie in France and Rääma Noorte Ühing Noorus in Estonia. Both our organization work in informal teaching of arts for children and young adults. We want to work with two groups of 10 people who are amateur dancers. They don't practice the same kind of dance and are from different cultural background which makes the exchange enriching. The project will take place during 2015 with the following program: - Preparation : Once a month, between January and June 2015, the two groups of dancers will have to exchange through internet using platforms such as Skype, Shared documents platform, shared video platforms... They will have to provide to the other group a dance piece that they will explain and the other part will have to try and learn it. Once a month they will also have to give each other feedback on how they could learn this piece, on how they felt about it, what they found interesting or not in this dance and how they percieve it regarding their dancing style and skills. They will also be encouraged to exchange about their everyday life as dancing is viewed here as a vector for inter-cultural dialogue. - The exchange : the group of French dancers will travel to Estonia in June (around Midsummer Eve) in order to meet physically with the group of Estonian dancers. During this week living together they will have inter-cultural workshops in the morning and dance workshops in the evening where they will have to create a performance together. This performance will be show to the public in Midsummer Eve 23rd of June 2015 in Estonia. On the cultural exchange, the youth will be followed by the two project managers, and on the artistic exchange, they will be followed but the two choreographer of the two structures. - After the exchange, we will enable the youth to keep in touch with each others as the web platforms on which they will have exchange will stay and it will be a chance for them to enrich themselves culturally and artistically in a time that is longer than the exchange time.
