Да посрещнем, знаещи и можещи, предизвикателствата на 21 век в образованието на децата ни
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

"Hristo Botev" Low Secondary School in the town of Rakovsky is a modern school with over 150 years of history. It educates 493 children from 5 to 14 years in 22 classes. The pedagogical staff consists of 37 teachers, most of whom are senior teachers, with much experience and care for children. Teachers are people who never stop learning. They face on a daily basis new challenges and must always be up to date and give the best of their knowledge and skills to their students. In this context, this project aims to increase the competences and skills of a group of teachers in three directions, as the subject of the project are three training courses. A training course for teachers of English language at primary stage – we plan three teachers to expand their knowledge of subject matter and methodology skills in applying different methods when working with younger students but also to improve their language skills, and enrich their culture, getting acquainted with the culture and history of Great Britain. A training course for the implementation of ICT in teaching a foreign language - we plan two teachers ,teaching English to students aged 11to 15 to learn innovative techniques and methods in the effective use of modern information and network technologies, to improve the quality of their education and learn about innovations in the education field. We also expect them to improve their methods of instruction in teaching a foreign language to children with special educational needs with the help of electronic devices. A training course for teachers of Physical Education and Sport – we plan one teacher of Physical Education and Sports, to enhance their knowledge and skills in organizing various sports activities and events to cover the largest possible number of students, to improve working methods in classes and extracurricular activities, regarding the inclusion of all students and diminishing the risk of dropping out from school, to learn new techniques and strategies to reduce stress in students and prevent generating violence, especially by the means of sport. We expect that the project will have a broad impact on the entire pedagogical staff, students and parents. As we put students in the center of the learning process, we expect them to increase their motivation to participate in the learning process confidently, using new technologies, which will also eliminate the boredom and monotony in the classrooms. We also expect to increase the interest, knowledge and social skills of SEN children by making subject matter more interesting and more accessible to them. We expect, as a result of this project, to reduce the number of early school leavers. We also expect a long-term improvement and increase of intercultural cooperation in education and establishing useful contacts and exchanges with other colleagues from all over Europe and with schools from other European countries as a result of the training of teachers in these educational courses.
