„Да – Младежка европейска стратегия!“
Start date: Mar 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The fulfilment of the project "YES - Youth European Strategy!" aims to create the conditions for building a strategy for implementation and promotion of dance as a creative tool of non-formal education and powerful means for personal development and impetus for social integration and positive change. At the beginning of the project young people will present and get to know cultural traditions, music and dances of their own countries as well as dances that they practice. Each of the national groups will prepare in advance and then conduct in practice games based on dancing with specific approaches for non-formal education: ice-breaking, teamwork and energizing games. In the end of the project an online collection of games for non-formal education on the basis of the dancing will be created as an approach that will enable and encourage young people to acquire key competences. This new knowledge, skills and attitudes will substantially contribute and motivate young people for personal, social and educational development. It will also encourage their active participation in public life and thus will affect the improvement of their development prospects and opportunities for youth employment.Furthermore, the participants will receive a task during creative workshops in mixed intercultural groups to create new dances in different dancing styles, but with the same theme as the European Year for development - 2015 and priorities announced by the EC. Young people will participate in a flash mob to promote messages of youth activity, healthy lifestyle and development. At the end of the exchange they will perform the new dances in a live concert in front of an audience. All the activities of the exchange will be recorded on video and photographs. A blog for the project will also be set up where information, materials, photos, videos and online collection of games on the basis of the dance as a creative tool and motivating factor for non-formal education will be posted. The project results will be promoted throughout Europe, together with project participants and partner organizations. During the exchange, participants will share experience, create new partnerships and friendships and promote messages of the European Year for development.49 young people and 7 leaders from the exchange countries (Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Italy, Spain, Romania and Turkey) will participate in the youth exchange that will take place in the town of Sandanski, Bulgaria.
