The overall idea of the project is to contribute to reduction of the consumption of non-renewable energy sources in the border area. Expected Results: 1. Increasing the knowledge and skills about energy saving among citizens living in the cross-border regions (the citizens will learn how to save energy in their everyday activities, how to choose energy efficient products, how to influence the authorities and other inhabitants of the region to act in an environmental friendly way). 2. Reduction of environmental pollution (through the modernization of 8 objects the energy consumption in buildings will be significantly decreased, which will lead to reduction of energy consumption and pollution). 3. Extending cooperation for the environmental protection action in the border area (the established contacts will help to realize other projects and objectives regarding cross-border environmental initiatives in the future).
