CV: Curriculum Voluntarius

Center E8 proposes to host a Training entitled “CV: Curriculum Voluntarius” for young people from Serbia, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, Macedonia, Italy, Portugal, Romania and Greece from 17th - 23rd, March 2013 in Belgrade, the capital of Serbia. Main goal of this project is to kindle young people’s spirit of initiative and promote volunteering as an instrument for young people’s active participation in society. This Training will bring together youth workers and youth activists to explore diverse ways of engaging youth in volunteering activities on grass root level. The participants will have a space to share their experience and know-how and will also be provided with various tools and techniques that can help them motivate young people to be active volunteers in their local communities.The methods used in this training are specially focused on non-formal education and peer education. We will hold several workshops related to the organisation of the volunteers in non-governmental organizations, work of volunteers, decision-making involving volunteers, learning process of the volunteers, recognition of personal competence and skills and active participation of volunteers in society. Moreover, special focus will be placed on stimulating unemployed young people's mobility and active participation in society through volunteering. At the end of the training the participant shall do a street action which will focus on raising awareness of the local public about the value and importance of youth participation and volunteerism. In addition, participants will have a chance to meet other cultures and to exchange experiences, creating this way an European network that can develop synergies and cooperation between organizations with the aim to integrate intercultural perspectives in their work.
