Manipal University is one of the pioneering education providers in the country with structured education system, expert faculty members and researchers, technological advancements and active international collaborations. Manipal University constitutes of 24 institutions and many departments offering over 300 programs. Around 28000 students who have come from across 50 countries are pursuing their studies in Manipal University. Under the supervision of the Pro Vice Chancellor, the Department of European Studies (DES) is a step further in Manipal University’s commitment to internationalization of higher education and multidisciplinary studies. Manipal University has set the ambitious challenge to become one of the key EU institutional partners in India bringing innovation in teaching and research, contributing to the qualitative and quantitative growth of the India-based European Studies scientific community and - in collaboration with European partners - foster the India-EU relation with the progressive involvement of policy makers within the academic debate. Project proposal in a nutshell: Key Activities: I)Development of a interdisciplinary teaching modules and panel discussions on cultural analysis and European identity; II) To foster the understanding of European integration and analyzing the nascent European identity; III) Inclusion of students and scholars from other field of studies.
