PROJECT

Agriculture, agroecological farming and food -processing industry are major stakes in every country.
In 2010, the Plan Régional de l’Agriculture Durable (Regional Plan for Sustainable Agriculture) planned its modernization.
In 2014, the SAF (French Farmers Society) defined the future of the Common Agricultural Policy. The objectives for 2020 are clearly defined: promote a diversified agriculture, make it accepted and prepare the future through research, innovation and training.
In that connection, all the pupils and trainers can use the rural world as a basis to gain the skills of the national and European common framework.
The aim will be to motivate the students whose difficulties were analyzed and listed at school and make them improve their learning by means of exploring a new field.
They will be led to overcome their difficulties thanks to a great number of activities based on an efficient personalized pedagogy.
Children in situation of failure or exclusion will benefit from the practical, unconventional and rewarding approach.
Another major asset for the students’ future will be the contacts they will experience with students from upper high school and professionals and thanks to them the transmission of knowledge and experience.
The specificity of the project consists in studying the subject, meeting professionals from the agricultural world, having external stakeholders, meeting relevant political authorities, getting to know the local agricultural network, discovering the local products and visiting food-processing industries.
Interaction between the actors of the project could create a network beyond the educational system.
In addition, each member of our partnership and our associated organizations will take part in two congresses for information and awareness (March 2016 and May 2017) during which each country, thanks to lecturers and testimonies, will put forward the part the agricultural world will play in today’s and tomorrow’s big challenges (competitiveness and economic performances, short routes, employment, climate change, shortage of energy, water resource management) and also how it can be a means to promote the success of every individual.
People from the Chamber of Agriculture, from local schools, from local educational departments, local citizens, parents, consumers and teachers (on e-Twinning) will be invited to join these meetings to enlarge the diffusion and the expertise.
The aim will be to answer the questions about different aspects of the problems from the points of view of the farmers, the producers, the company managers, the searchers, the teachers, the inspectors, the parents, the citizens, the students from the agricultural school, etc..
Finally, mobilities between children will be arranged in order to exchange about the selected themes of environmental issues, plant variety and animal species, quality labels, health, employment, political issues, history and literature. The students will visit agricultural structures, make experiments, will show their research and results to the other partners and will create new products together during the meetings.
These products will be available to all the teachers interested in innovative teaching.
