Project is designed to promote closer ties between Hungary and Serbia by organizing joint innovative events in the field of culture. Lately, festivals have tended to be more concerned with economic benefit rather then the cultural focus on educational and informal function, therefore, the project proposal CUL-TOURS is aiming at returning the focus on to the children and social regional development. As cooperation presents vehicle for regional development, this proposal will contribute to cross border cooperation of Vojvodina and Chongrad cross border regions in the area of theatre for children.Project will stimulate intellectual dialogue, culture communication, tolerance in the CB region, exchange of ideas among artists, possibility for audience to meet with work of theatres as in the CB region together with the work of theatres from all over the world participating in the official program of the Festival of Children`s Theatres in Subotica.Project will contribute to establishment of 15 cultural cooperations in the CB region. In 13 month duration of the project, activities will take places both in Vojvodina and Chongrad region. Citizens and children of both regions, along with experts and cultural organizations which will directly be involved in the project, will jointly contribute to successful implementation of the project. Whole project will be covered by the media and that way will be available to the public. In activities like touring performances of festival official selection, 3 performances of Kövér Béla theatre which will be played in Vojvodina and also 4 performances from theatres from Vojvodina, will be played in Hungary so that children will have rare opportunity to enjoy performances from different countries all over the world. Round table discussions will assemble children`s theatre experts which will exchange their experience and opinions about contemporary trends of children's theater, festivals and performances for children's productions of 21st century. Joint exhibitions will present work of two theatres from CB region with long tradition and workshops will be great way to directly involve children of all ages in the project implementation by their participation in the workshop and to improve the quality of performances for children in workshop for actors and children`s theatre workers.
