Creating premises for improving the environmental quality in cross-border area by making available the technical support for ecological reconstruction of degraded lands. Expected Results: A complete cross border inventory of the erosion impact in land degradation (3 maps at the county level) and of the landslides areas (3 maps at the county level) using actual digital images; 123 complete maps of land degradation at the municipal level (81 localities in Vaslui county, 24 municipalities in Criuleni region and 18 localities in Bolgrad region); 123 maps of basic units for characterization of erosion forms, as a base for the establishment of technical land reconstruction measures and the financial evaluation of the reconstruction projects; constructing a cross border data-base with the attributes of the lands degraded by erosion, the types of ecological rehabilitation measures related to all forms of water created erosions and the estimated costs for the measures proposed to prevent soil erosion, considering the specific conditions of the target areas; a web portal to communicate with the target groups and final beneficiaries in relation to the issues addressed by the project and to receive feed-back on the results.
