End date: May 30, 2014
PROJECT
FINISHED
The essential aim of this project is to improve communication infrastructure leading to the cross border SMEs, homesteads of rural tourism, and agro-tourism objects. Despite numerous efforts done by the local authorities, the quality of the transport network in this area is still inadequate. The majority of local roads in the project territory has graveled or land paving. It makes serious communication problems for local inhabitants and decreases the attractiveness of the area to tourists and investors. Expected Results: As regards the project, it is planned to reconstruct 3 roads with the total length of 1,848 km. After completion of reconstruction, a joint cross border race competition for 120 participants will be organised. The main target groups of the project are local inhabitants of the cross border communities, tourists, and potential investors. The major benefits of the actions implemented are related to the improvement of the traffic conditions and strengthening of the cross border communities by organising joint events.
