The main goal of this cross-border project is to improve the professional and scientific work done in 2 arboretums (the Arboretum of Szarvas- Hungary and the Arboretum of Macea- Romania) through the development of infrastructural conditions, and to extend further the cross-border relationships of the two partners. The most important activities of this project are: - improving infrastructural condition system for environmental education and research - environmental protection education of children and visitors - extending the visit area, improving the Park Forest and making it more attractive for tourists (in Szarvas) In case of the Arboretum of Szarvas, the improvements aim at the followings: the improving the infrastructural conditions for environmental protection education, environmental protection education, extending the area for visitors, and finally improving the Park Forest. The Arboretum of Macea will benefit from the following improvements: improvement of the infrastructure of environmental protection education, improving the infrastructural conditions for environmental protection education. The direct beneficiaries are the university students and researchers (80 people), the arboretums' employees (40 people), and the educational institutions (20-30 thousand students yearly).
