PROJECT
FINISHED
The project was develop to try to bring together different approaches that are already in progress in the lead organization, namely the multiple intelligences and bilingualism approach. By adding creativity and 3D technology we aim to differentiate from other similar organizations, but also to achieve a major goal that is to help children in disavantage situations. Since the economic crisis hit many children have and still are suffering from precarious living situations. Focusing on the development of their inner skills we can help them gain abilities to deal with these and future difficult situations and by bringing together these different concepts and promoting technology use we are providing them with the tools to survive and to improve their future time perspective. Beyond the work with children, partner organizations know that staff members should also be consider, because they are fundamental for a good education. Because of that staff training is considered in this project as a way to learn new and improve old pedagogical practices. The main objetives of the project are to promote a good early quality childhood education and care, making use of a new innovative approach to curricular programs, while encouraging social inclusion, technology use and children and staff skills. The participants will consist of 15 children in disadavantage situations in each kindergarten partner, age 4 to 6, and 4 staff members of each partner organization. The staff members will include kindergarten teachers, technicians and researchers. Activities with children will include a "Creativity Day" where children will develop their creativity skills and the 8 intelligences emphasized by Gardner theory. Staff will be part of workshops to improve skills. All activities being develop with the children will be compile in a manual, our intelectual output, that will be freely available for all who desire to promote a new creative approach to education in pre-school. All activities will be evaluate considering a psychological and pedagogical approach as also satisfaction questionnaires. Also dissemination activities such as public conferences and a website, social media, posters and brochures will be develop as will also be carry out multiplier events in each partner organization. It is expected that children improve their basic skills, such for example literacy and digital skills. Staff is expected to improve their working skills and engagement with activities. More broadely it is expected that the project goes beyond local and regional environments to national, international and european organizations. Ultimately by developing and implementing a new, innovative and creative approach to curriculum programs and pre-school education we hope to change current policies and give a more effective approach to promote children inherent abilities and help them improve their own future.
