Creativity for youth
Start date: Jul 1, 2014,
End date: Jul 1, 2015
PROJECT
FINISHED
The project originated as an attempt to bring the Belarusian youth closer to the European values, including respect to individuals, overall participation and diversity represented by the 12 French volunteers. We see it useful and encouraging when young people are educated informally and non-formally and learn from themselves and their peers. Therefore, the volunteer who brings a different prospective on the issues of interculatural dialogue, social participation, youth initiatives and tells about that in an informal way, even in the form of the game, will inspire hundreds of young people and provide them with practical tools to implement their idea and encourage learning.
European dimension: building the future of Europe together with non-EU countries is very important especially when youth of culturally different countries is involved into this process. It brings a basis for common problems that may be overcome by French and Belarusian youth united in the same project. The volunteers will have constant interactions with young people at all stages of the project. They will be able to be involved into the current activities of the hosting organizations and will be strongly encouraged to propose their initiative and bring it to life while acquiring skills for the entrepreneurship skills. The volunteers will choose the topics for discussions and workshops express their opinions and listen to the opinions of the local young people, share the experience. That is extremely important as Belarus has very few contacts with the European Union bringing the prejudice attitudes towards people of different nationalities. Moreover, in Belarus volunteers will be involved into the process for widening Belarusian youth opportunities in the local community by sharing their experience from the one they have acquired in French. Therefore, the volunteers will help a lot with sharing the European identity not only within the current EU members but also among the neighboring countries.
