Cooperation For Youth Exchange Development
Start date: Jan 1, 2016, End date: Sep 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

« Cooperation for Youth Exchange Development » (CYED) is a youth worker mobility project aimed at enabling them to discover international youth exchanges and improve quality. This project - gathering 44 youth worker and 6 trainers from 6 partners organizations (all umbrella NGO) from Estonia, Romania, Spain, Latvia, Turkey and France - starts from several shared observations:1. Youth Worker are influencers in the implementation of international youth exchanges project. A French statistic show that 67% of the youth exchange project begin with a proposal from a youth worker.2. There is some “brakes to brake” for youth worker in order to help them to involve on those kind of projects: a. language barrier, b. complexity of application form and programs, c. difficulties finding reliable partners, d. lack of reference to support an intercultural group.Furthermore, the partners - 5 of them are members of the international coordination Contact 2103 based in Brussels, Belgium and the 6th is in process to become - consider that such projects within a framework of non-formal education, can develop youth capacity for empathy, break down “clichés” and stereotypes about peoples and cultures, brake selfishness and promote free will for young people. In fact, these projects are fully in the values carried, shared and defended by the partners. The project CYED has three main objectives (available with sub-objectives):1. Allow youth worker to discover, to appropriate and master the Erasmus + program. The project aims to help to take the best of the new opportunities offered by the program to consider the most relevant project architecture depending of publics and organizations.2. Allow them to benefit from an experience of intercultural collaboration and mobility in a professional framework and, therefore, capitalize good practices,3. Allow them to create efficient partnerships to remove the brakes they have to support and develop international youth exchange project and, of course, lead to the emergence of quality projects within partner’s networks.Youth Worker with no or less experiences in intercultural project and willing to develop it are the target group of this project. They need to have the support from their organization to manage – in the future – those kind of project. The project comes through two main activities:- A first youth worker seminar hosted on the outskirts of Lyon in France from March 21 to 24, 2016.- A second one hosted on the outskirts of Tallinn in Estonia from 23 to 26 May 2016.Several active methods and tools will be use in order to facilitate collaboration among the participants and serve as good practice. All materials and tools used and/or products during this project will be shared across networks, and partly made available on the Salto-Youth platform. The draft projects implemented during the seminars will be supported by the leader of each partner organizations.
