“COOLture Bridge! Let’s decode European Soul” was a Polish, Ukrainian, German and Belarusian youth exchange, which gather 35 people from rural and urban areas of the neighboring countries. The main goal of this project was to break taboos and prejudices among youth and to strengthen brotherhood using the power and effectiveness of our cultures. Thanks to 8 days of non-formal education workshops concerning visible element of culture like cuisines, folk dances, traditions, songs we reached deeper understanding of each other values and enrich themselves in cultural awareness. During the youth exchange we had a room for culture expressions – we worked together and learning happened all the time in indirect way. By common workshops we learnt how to cook each others meals, how to dance traditional dances and how to deal in each other society. We had a unique chance to be a bridge between European Union and its neighbours. Important part of this project was unique chance to discuss and share information about our countries history, present events and how we understand European identity. This meeting created strong bounds between participants and was great step towards building deeper understanding. The final and measurable result of the project is a movie (reportage from the project) and follow – up meetings. Local actions (follow-ups) took place up to two months after the main meeting. All of us involved in the project used prepared promotional materials and informed our peers about Erasmus +. This project as a cooperation between European Union and its neighbours’ was a great possibility to export European values outside of EU borders.
