The Consultancy & Counselling project aims to promote both tools and methodologies able to enhance skills development and improve opportunity for women in the European labour market. The project will initially identify best practice at European level, with regard to the use of guidance tools, focusing upon three different female target groups: women employed at medium/high level in the public and private sectors; skilled women wishing to re-enter the labour market and women suffering from social disadvantage. The project will favour the exchange of experience and methodology in the field, promoting operational tools as identified through comparison amongst different European countries. The final result will be a general knowledge framework relating to the employment situation of women in Europe, identifying and valuing existing tools for vocational guidance and promoting potential solutions. Dissemination will rely upon networking, the launch of a dedicated project website and the hosting of two transnational conferences.
