Project context
The economic and financial crisis has strongly affected the socio-economic situation of Spain, and especially the construction industry, which level of activity and employment rate has dramatically decreased during past years.
This scenario means the necessity of setting up new actions in order to respond from a strategic point of view, anticipating the formulation of renovated and proper answers to current and future challenges. Thus, it is necessary to bet for quality training, adapting the training offer to sector trends as well as to the strategic objectives defined at European scope, throughout the development of innovative training schemes and the application of new teaching-learning methods.
In particular, the short-term growth of the construction industry is going to be highly influenced by the rehabilitation of existing buildings, and especially by its renovation from an energy point of view, therefore newcomers will be required an adapted qualification to the new “green skills”. The mobility of trainees in training centers specialized in this kind of professional updating can add a fundamental value to participants’ curricula.
Accordingly, “Build up your Future" is an European mobility program for training in Energy Rehabilitation aiming to build up and strengthen an area of cooperation and integration of innovation in order to contribute to the overall development of vocational training in the construction industry and improving the key skills of its trainees.
Number and participants’ profile
The project combines two kinds of mobility, one for trainees (45) and another one for trainers and/or training staff (20).

The beneficiaries of this mobility would be trainees that are participating in initial vocational training courses that the FLC is currently running:
-Basic diploma on Renovation and Maintenance of buildings.
-Middle-grade Diploma. Technician on Construction.
-Middle-grade Diploma. Technician on Internal works, Decoration and Rehabilitation.
Trainees’ age varies between 15 and 30 years. During mobility, they will be attending the courses mentioned above.
TRAINERS/STAFF

The core activities have been structured in three phases:
PHASE 1. PREPARATION. The objectives of this phase are: detecting of needs, setting up the partnership, carrying out prior activities planning, selecting participants and initiating project divulgation.
PHASE 2. DEVELOPMENT. The objectives of this phase are: carrying out the preparatory visit, setting up agreements, organizing mobility logistics, briefing participants, organizing preparatory activities and carrying out the stay abroad.
PHASE 3. RETURN AND FINAL ASSESSMENT. The objectives of this phase are: carrying out the acknowledgment of acquired skills, developing the assessment of results and impact and divulgating of project results.
Results

As for trainers, the expected result would be their involvement in a normalization procedure, with the aim of improving the quality of the teaching-learning process, throughout the enhancement of their skills in topics related to knowledge management, exchange of information or skills assessment.
Impact
The expected impact would have a triple incidence:
-Impact in participant organizations: improvement of aspects such as the cooperation for a mutual learning or the increase of the number of exchanges.
-Impact in beneficiaries: enhancement of aspects such as employability, soft skills or technical skills on energy rehabilitation.
-Impact in the construction industry: empowerment of new activities and/or improvement of competitiveness.
Long-term benefits
The long-term benefits of the project will enforce, among others, the quality of the VET within the building industry, increasing therefore its attractiveness. Also, it will empower the international dimension of the participant entities, fostering a higher cohesion and European identity.
