The bilateral project "Construire un pont interculturel dans l'Est", allowed 1 young french volunteer to perform a European Voluntary Service of 10 months, from September 2014, in the Association "Alliance Française of Moldova" in Chisinau. Registered as a non-profit association, the Alliance Française in Moldova is devoted to the promotion of the use of the French and the appreciation of cultures who share the French language in their common heritage. The Alliance Française promotes communication between cultures through an exceptional environment: introduction to the French language, a library, a gallery of photographs, as well as various cultural activities such as concerts, the screening of French films, games and exhibitions which contribute overall to create an open cultural exchange. The finalized project objectives were as follows: -Participate in the promotion of the activities of the Alliance Française: cultural activities, introduction to the French language, lessons and examinations of English as tools to accompany the international mobility of Moldovan youth -Take part in the implementation of the various projects of the office responsible for the lessons: reception of the public, seeking partnerships, making contact with schools, etc. -Conducting workshops with the teachers at the Alliance Française -Ensure the promotion of higher education in connection with the charge of linguistic mission The volunteer was actively involved in the activities of the Alliance Française of Moldova. He was able to help promote the French language and culture, the communication between different cultures and gain various skills such as: developping communication skills, learning how to integrate and live in a different environment, learning how to fight prejudices and get an open mind by exchanging with others. The project contributed to the education process of youth at the international level, developed the feeling of European citizen and focused on the problems of the European Union. This project helped to contribute to the promotion of volunteering, non-formal education, the inclusion of youth in the cooperation. The volunteer as well as the other participants in the project have acquired a unique personal and professional experience by working together in the European spirit. Also, as much as possible the volunteer has provided information and support to other organizations, associations of youth and young people, who would like to participate or contribute to the EVS project. Through this project more people have got acquainted with the EVS and the opportunities afforded by the European Union to young people and associations. Also, the project improved communication on the activities, projects and the objectives of the partner associations and helped develop volunteering. With the help of the EVS volunteer, it has been possible to inform more people about projects, activities, events and the progress of the actions of the Alliance Française. This project has oppened up the possibility to attract a larger and more diverse public.
