Maison de l' Europe Bordeaux Aquitaine (House of Europe of Bordeaux Aquitaine) is an association created in 2009 as an initiative of local communities. We are a member of the French Foundation of Houses of Europe and we work in conjunction with the European consulates in Bordeaux and with the European cultural associations. Our activities are mainly the organization of European events. We organise every month an evening about Europe and every Wednesday afternoon we are honoring a European country. We organize conferences in various topics such as the European Citizens' Initiative , the relations with Asia, the crisis in Europe.... Every year also, we organize a festival week around the Day of Europe with different themes. These activities are specifically aim in promoting Europe to a largest number. For this, we have also established a radio show and business breakfasts. The European Voluntary Service can meet our commitment to promote Europe and explore Europe's cultural diversity. The volunteer participates in all of our on-going actions while having the opportunity to build new ones by bringing his ideas; the team of Maison de l' Europe is here to assist and advise so that he can flourish in the organisation and as a European citizen. We also keep contact regularly with the Maisons de l' Europe and with other organizations who already participate in this program in order to gather their impressions and harvest their various councils. We believe that we can welcome our volunteer in the best possible conditions.
