Complex flood protection development of Black-Körös (FEKETEKOMPLEX)

The overall objective of the project is to increase flood safety of a section of Black-Körös. The objective of the project is to guarantee the bed stability, reconstruction of design gages, continuous watch and data collect of river regime of Black-Körös, development of common monitoring system, reconstruction of telerecording, main station gage, reconstruction of dykekeeper’s lodge.  Make multilingual issue about the world of Körös, increase information to public.The main activities of this project are: execution (reconstruction of revetment between 14+065-14+380 and 14+224-14+380 fkm (Romanian) of Black-Körös on the right bank, reconstruction of design gages in Zerind, reconstruction of dykekeeper’s lodges in Zerind), aquisition of equipment, elaboration of promotional materials (editing „Lumea Crisurilor” publication, brochures, leaflets)The direct beneficiaries of the project are:1. inhabitants of Black-Körös flood plain polder of right bank 28.321 people, 11028 flats (Bélmegyer, Tarhos, Doboz, Sarkad, Kötegyán, Méhkerék, Ant, Avram Iancu, Tamásda, Ciumeghiu)2. inhabitants of Black-Körös flood plain polder of left bank 3.744 people, 2.786 flats (Gyula/Dénesmajor, Gyulavári/, Zerind, Iermata Neagra)3. economic organisations and farmers which work on protected area: 3334 pieces4. local governments 12 pieces5. specialists and organisations which work in Hungarian-Romanian common flood protection (KÖR-KÖVIZIG, ABAC, Disaster recovery, Military, other non-profit organisations)
