COMPETENCIES FOR SENIORS IN ACTION project enriched all the participants both at personal and at organizational level. We've followed Henry Ford's words - "Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at 20 or 80. Anyone who keeps learning stays young. The greatest thing in life is to keep your mind young." and we succeed. The project “Competencies for Seniors in Action” aimed to create a strong partnership,s ready to cope to offer a solution for the lack of funds and the isolation from other contacts of the NGOs working with older people, developing their capacity, to be more active and efficient in their communities and wider, at European level.Learning is a continuous process, seniors/organizations that participated at our project benefited from it, by raising their knowledge in English language, in computers, in project management and in European culture and opportunities.Ageing is a general process in the European Community, according to EUROSTAT, therefore we need more projects focused on seniors. That's exactly what our partnership did- we have five new European cooperation projects focused on seniors (2 already implemented) that will continue our project. We do not consider it finished, just accomplished and transformed into a extended version of long life learning. Promotion and dissemination were developed by each partner and by the partnership as a whole from the beginning to the end of the partnership, continuing with our website and with our Facebook group aiming to involve more people/organization into the matters of seniors.Communication and socialization were principles of our partnership, leading for excellent results and good practices. Exchanging experiences and information inside our partnership, between seven different countries, gave us and our target group (learners) the opportunity to improve the practices and add value to seniors life, no matter the national affiliation.
