This project is a very good example of the partnership existing between the town of Boulogne sur mer and Shepway District council. It has been strenghened since the creation of a cross border programme called BOSCO, financed thanks to an interreg III project.BOSCO's mission is to foster cooperation actions between the two partners. The various meetings organised by BOSCO have enabled to identify priorities shared by the two councils and to do efficiently exchange of good practice. One of the priorities shared by the 2 councils is crime reduction and social inclusion in focus areas. Two exchange days on this theme have put forward common problems existing on both sides :- lack of basic education (problems of hygiene, being clean, absence of basic knowledge of life in the community, etc.),- lack of basic parental skills,- growing problems of obesity due to a lack of dietic knowledge and lack of sport practice,- existence of petty crime that could increase. The solutions suggested to tackle these problems are different on each side. It is therefore very interesting to share experience and improve each other's projects.ObjectivesEducation to citizenshipEducation to health and fight against addictionsCrime reduction
