The Project is in line with the principles of the Bologna process which aims at creating a European Area for Higher Education through a common new degree system, a European dimension to quality assurance and the recognition of degrees and study periods abroad. Project wider objective is to raise safety and efficiency of traffic flows (aviation, maritime, road, and rail) while decreasing environmental impact through EU-RU-UA collaboration for training experts in the Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) focused on the integration of the modern telecommunications and information technology into vehicles and traffic control of transport systems. By the specific project objectives it is foreseen to develop EU based advanced interdisciplinary Master and PhD Programs in ITS focused on the integration of the modern telecommunications and information technology into vehicles and traffic control of Air, Water, Road and Railway transport systems and introduce them in the RU and UA Universities participated in the project since September 2013. Also it is planed to provide students of four Russian and four Ukrainian Universities with the opportunity to study the Joint EU-RU-UA Master Program in ITS both in Russian/Ukrainian and EU Universities since September 2013 with possibility to obtain double Master Degrees: first of all RU/UA and of one of the EU Univ. participated in the Project.Also it is going to be developed and introduced till the end of the project some complementary measures which will support the ITS students’ training in RU and UA Universities in accordance with the EU standards and the Bologna process demands. This objectives will be achieved through fulfillment of the Outcomes/Outputs described below.Realization of the project will significantly increase the popularity of the ITS speciality among RU and UA students, increase possibility of the graduates for placing in a job and ensure the international labor market with the highly qualified engineers.
