In the project “COLOURS of EVS” we are going to host 9 young people from Programme Countries and Partner Countries in 2 organizations located in small Polish towns. For 12 months, volunteers are going to work in:• "Adults for Children" Association in Sępólno Krajeńskie (January 2017 - January 2018), volunteers from Latvia, Portugal and Turkey, and in April 2017 - April 2018, volunteers from Armenia, Georgia and Russia) and• Socially Active Association in Więcbork (March 2017 - March 2018), volunteers from Greece, Spain and Turkey). In institutions run by associations, volunteers will engage in actions targeted at people with disabilities, children, youth and seniors (assistance in daily activities, organizing and conducting various types of activities: art, sports, cooking and others). Working with such diverse groups, living in another country, in different reality, volunteers will gain valuable life and professional experience and competence that are supposed to help them to identify their future career and life path.We would like to devote a particular attention to the activities aimed at mutual knowledge of cultures of countries participating in the project. Project title "Colours of EVS" is a symbol of cultural diversity, a wonderful mixture of other traditions, habits aimed at the same beautiful ideas that - especially today - need to be promoted: tolerance and understanding, respect, unity. Meetings, exhibitions, happenings and other actions according to volunteers’ ideas, will be a great tool for this type of actions and will have a positive impact on the perception of other cultures but also will promote active participation in society, European citizenship and possibilities of EU programs such as Erasmus +.Working in an international group, the implementation of original ideas, the ability to influence own lives and the lives of other people, activities targeted at different age groups and finally contact with a completely different culture, will have a positive impact on the future life of volunteers arousing in them a sense of their possibilities, creativity and entrepreneurship and thus the development of skills useful in the labour market.
