The Department of Education's memorandum for the 2015 school year encourages projects of openness on Europe and World. In accordance with our school intern program, our main priority is to guide the student in his academic, professional and civic process. Our region is characterized by a strong tourist attraction : foreign languages and multicultural skills are de facto necessary and valued in regards to employment. To develop a feeling of citizenship among the pupils, to create and maintain lasting connections with European countries, to increase the mobilities and to meet the needs of the employment in the region are so many objectives and aims of our organization. The Vocational school Pierre Doriole has been involved for more than twelve years in European mobility projects. Our ambition is still to offer our students this opportunity to move, with both widening partners and beneficiaries :- We offered various country partnerships , with different cultures, and we now prioritize our reliable organizations. We perpetuate our cooperation with our contacts in Ireland and Spain(we choose to put forward the quality of the cooperation with our European partners, the maintained relations and consequently the quality of the proposed placements), and to add a new partner that one of the teachers met last year during an Erasmus project : Malta.- Beneficiaries :our school now offers the opportunity to integrate the european section to others school branches. So Logistic and Service to individual and local life are now added to previous branches like Commerce and Office administration.- A new test is available for our beneficiaries to obtain the EuroMobiPro.The head committee, consisting of the teachers of european sections, the bursar and the headmaster, deals with, according to an accurate count-down schedule, the mobilities implementation from conception to assessment. Our students'mobility period takes place over their period of compulsory internship during their program. It is organized for the 2nd year of vocational school. The first year is dedicated to the linguistic strengthening (courses by english teachers) and to the European openness ; the 2nd year is dedicated to the acquisition of professional vocabulary in real professional scenarii (lessons by professional teachers in european sections) ; and then the final year of vocational school allows the exploitation of the mobility, the preparation for the High National Diploma and the specific professional test of European section.Effects on our school :This project is carried out to perpetuate and widen the European openness of our school. We offer the possibility to our students, stemming most of the time from unprivileged backgrounds, to open their minds towards Europe through different European projects. European citizenship is acquired by different mobility projects and is now a major aim of our intern program. Such project contributes to our recognition as a major skilled partner in our local educational environment : other projects now become visible (school exchange, educational trips, e-twinning), and our school is endowed with a real expertise in the field of mobility and european openness.Effects on the students beneficiaries:- to open on the European space and become aware of their European citizenship,- to gain self confidence,- to improve their qualification and value their skills,- to acquire a better and professional level in a foreign language,- to increase their portfolio of professional and cultural knowledge,- to develop qualities of adaptation and autonomy,- to obtain attested and recognized qualifications (Europass mobility, EuroMobiPro),- to be openminded and think of transnational professional views. All these beneficial aspects, from professional to personal, involved by the European cooperation, establish a real increased value for the learner, allowing him(her) to aspire to attractive career prospects.
