This is 7 - day international youth exchange organized by YEU and hosted by Cerebra, Bosnia. Exchange will gather 30 participants form EU and SEE countries in order to discuses about active participation of youth, volunteering as a tool for unemployment and impact of volunteering on one volunteer and his/her well being.Voluntary services have a high level of impact for those who practice it and those who benefit in terms of developing European citizenship and social responsibility. The testimonies of those who volunteer also highlight the positive experience and benefits on their wellbeing and development. Volunteering creates a sense of well-being, growth, personal development, facilitates social integration, offers the acceptance of yourself and builds positive relationships with others, invests in the future actively, enables young people to develop skills and all of these reasons help to avoid risky behavior because volunteers are more aware of their life goals. During the exchange we will use non formal methods in order to ensure active and interactive participation of youth and give them possibility to express themselves.We aim to create a safe environment for young people to go deeper into the topic and find out the positive and negative aspects of volunteering on youth and their health, well-being and lifestyles and explore the ways how volunteering can help to eliminate risky behavior among young people. As a result we predict to avoid risky behavior among the participants and in their local communities as they're foreseen to act as multipliers after going home to share the gained experience, knowledge and skills. Also as a result we aim to launch a small publication on aspects together with statistical information about young people's health and relation to active participation from each participating country. The exchange will be held in Bosnia where the volunteering has great impact in post war period in rebuilding social cohesion.
