Our EVS project called: “Check the Czech” is an individual long term EVS for one volunteer, lasting 12 months from 15th August 2016 to 15th August 2017. The project will take place in Olomouc – the university town in Moravia – the eastern part of the Czech Republic.The volunteer will split his working time between three organisations: United Games of Nations - Czech Republic (youth organisation with mainly regional but also international focus), Children House Olomouc (institution, which provides leisure-time activities for people of all ages, but mainly for children and youth) and Academic Sport Centre of Palacky University (sport and leisure activities for students and also children). In all of them the volunteer will focus on main activities and in addition will get experiences in office work depended on getting knowledges of Czech language (work in different computer systems and programs, writing projects applications, articles and monitoring reports, preparation of PR materials).The goal of the project is to share large experiences mostly through non-formal or informal education and offer as much possibilities to self-realisation as possible, which we hope will help the volunteer to get to know more about Czech culture, herself and his culture in comparison to others.
