CEIP Los Caserones is small school with around 80 pupils. It is located in Telde Gran Canaria. It has got a new head teacher and new teaching staff three years ago. The teaching staff and no teaching professionals are working hardly in order to improve our rates of school success in our zone. We are making new projects; we are being formed constantly in: new methodologies, new technologies, also about new ways to organization. And not less important, we are being formed about new ways to motivate our changeable pupils, giving new services to our school (dining room, diverse free activities after school timetable). And at last we are working in one of the most important point “relation between school-family”. In spite of our great effort (school and the corresponding institutions too), all our changes we have not managed to increase the number of new students which is our main problem nowadays. The main reason for that fact, it is the bad reputation that our school had some years ago, before all the changes before mentioned. At the presents we have got a new project, we have got motivated teaching staff and new methodologies to teach and finally all together are building an appropriated relation between “school-family”. This project would help us and support us all the changes which we had done so the families which live next to our school could register their children in our school because we have got several good and advantaged points. This new project makes us to improve like teachers and like institution. We have grown as far the number of services we are offering, projects, our better rates of school success, a better relation between “school-family” so we are looking for other strong point. It will be this European project. We have been working in the search of two schools similar to ours. On the one hand, the three schools look like but on the other hand, they have not got the problem about the number the new students. And they two are offering interesting educational programs which we would like to learn about it. During these next two years, we would like to observe them, evaluate them and finally adapt it in order to put it in practice in our school. In that way we are going to try to get our main goal (increase the number of students and improve our rates of school success and at the same time to avoid the early school abandon). We also would like to find a new common project and we will try to find new schools in order to start with KA2 program, after our second visit to them. Finally, with all these changes we would like to build a new school where our families are proud of their international school. And where our students would like to go on with their studies.
