Caritas Intercultural Summer Camp 2015
Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Oct 31, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

Around 60 teenagers and young adults from Austria, Hungary and the Czech Republic will participate at Caritas Intercultural Summer Camp (CISC), which will take place from August 1st until 9th 2015 in Balatonakali (Hungary). The camp is organized by Caritas Vienna and gives the mainly socially disadvantaged 13 to 20 year-old participants a chance to experience a special kind of adventure holiday. The aim of the nine-day summer camp with a sporty emphasis is in particular the exchange of experiences between young people and youth groups from different backgrounds and countries. In an intercultural environment exciting, community-building activities are undertaken that give the teenagers and young adults the opportunity to get to know and to deal with other cultures. As part of the diverse camp program sports and social educational content are specifically connected to intercultural learning. The participants should thereby acquire additional skills, abilities and experiences, especially in dealing with other cultures in a respectful and appreciative way. To the project partners, all charitable organizations, the youth meeting should deepen the existing and especially the ongoing cooperation for the future.
