The project " Quality and relevance in training of the specialists in automation " answers to the training needs of students and school needs which are recorded as strategic objectives undertaken by the Energy Technical College .
These are :
- Increasing the general skills and the development of technical skills and competencies specific to electronic - automation ;
- Developing the capacity of educational and vocational guidance for career building ;
- Matching skills to the needs of employers;
- Increasing adaptability educational offer to the labor market needs;
- Develop partnerships between schools and companies, to ensure quality in profesional training .
The project aims to develop general and technical skills and competencies, specific to electronic – automation , to the 20 students of class X, technological profile, Electronics and automation qualification from the Energy Technical College of Craiova, by participating in a training placement for 3 weeks , in a specialized company in Paphos , Cyprus.
During the 3 weeks , the participants will perform, under the guidance of tutors , activities of designing automation schemes tailored to customer needs, installation and commissioning of automation systems . They will monitor the automated systems, in order to ensure their functioning correctly and will perform maintenance and repairs to automation systems .
In the last week , will hold a final evaluation of the training results by practical test .The skills developed during the placement will be recorded in Europass Mobility Certificate .
At the end of the training placement , the 20 participants will have the skills and professional competences specific to electronic - automation at European standards, which will make them more motivated to continue their learning in the field and , at the end of the school , will help them to achieve a employment in the country or abroad according to the qualification for which they were prepared .
The 20 participants will have improved English communication competentces, work experience, life experience in a different cultural environment and an increased capacity to adapt to working conditions in a European company .
Experience of transnational cooperation will contribute to the development of international dimension of the school, will increase its capacity to operate at European level to establish new partnerships with companies in Europe to prepare , implement, monitor and capitalize on international projects .
By promoting a model of European cooperation and dissemination of the results to this mobility to local, regional , national and European level, the project encourages other providers of professional education and the development of European cooperation projects , contributing to the objectives of the European strategy of education and training ( ET 2020 ) on growth the efficiency and quality of the education and training by adapting skills to the demands of the economy and increasing European mobility in education and training .
