The project is a global action aimed at fostering transnational capacity building for marginalized youth affected by conflicts at different levels, dealing with connection between violence and youth marginalization and the presence of urban conflicts involving youth.It will gather youth from two European countries harshly affected by the Economic crisis (Italy and Spain) and from other three countries (India, Nigeria, Sri Lanka) belonging to different continents. They will be involved in a coherent scheme of learning mobilities through non-formal learning activities (Seminar, Training, Jobshadowing, National workshops). Youngsters will be trained about non-violent conflict transformation and mediation, and will learn tools and methods to adopt non-violent conflict transformation methods in urban contexts. They we'll be trained on how to facilitate groups with non-violent communication approach and how to run workshops concerning conflicts at different levels.The experience will help them to acquire capabilities, skills, and knowledge that will help them to create synergies with the educational system and labour market of their own country, fostering their participation to democratic life that is an essential step to overcome social exclusion. Among project outputs, an Ebook will be created in order to collect the material produced and collethroughout the project regarding non-violent conflict transformation experiences, methodologies and tools.The project foster cooperation among different NGOs with variegated backgrounds and expertise, joining those with experience in youth social inclusion and capacity building, th will thus favour mutual learning and growth.ActivitiesSeminar: 12 youngsters will meet in Mumbai, India. Participants will study the topic through non-formal learning activities and benefit from theoretical introduction to non-violent conflict transformation and mediation. Youngsters will get prepared for the Jobshadowing and have the opportunity to set both the structure and layout of the Ebook.Training: 12 participants will meet in Italy for a training aimed at enhancing their skills and knowledge on on-violent conflict transformation and mediation, non-violent communication and how to run workshops based on these approaches.Job Shadowing: in the first phase Euoropean partners will host 3 youth workers each, one from each Partner country. Symmetrically in the second phase each Partner country will host two youngster from European countries. They will daily follow the trainers of the hosting organizations, learning their capabilities and skills concerning non-violent conflict transformation and mediation. At the end of the Jobshadowing they they will test the skills acquired so far through a 2-day workshop with marginalized youngsters. Youth will contribute to the Ebook with the materials collected and produced so far. One Final Conference will be held in Italy to disseminate project outputs and increase its outreach.
