Our project "Building Europe" will be a Youth Exchange between 36 young people from the following countries : GREECE – ITALY – LATVIA – SPAIN– CYPRUS - UNITED KINGDOM . Each country will be asked to send a team of 6 participants including one group leader from 18 till 26 years old. The greek group will have one more participants. There will be no age limit for the group leader . Groups will be as more gender balanced as possible. Project will be held at Nea Kallikratia, Greece .Potential longer term benefits in short details:*Increase the big value of active european citizenship among all the participants and also among people from target groups, local people-media- young and adult people.*Raising the awareness on the project’s topic, focusing on the meaning of European fosterity, Unity and collaboration, emphasizing the meaning of the youth work, interacting with different cultures/ beliefs/ idea while erasing prejudices-stereotypes-misconceptions . Promoting local and national customs, lifestyles, products while supporting the national economy.*It is widely desired that participants will interact with the locals in that way that people from the target groups will get affected and motivated to broaden their horizons through participating themselves in our project as well or participate in other projects (after being motivated by us).*Improving the level of key competences and skills of the participants in developing their knowledge about the topic of Intercultural Learning through non formal education methods;Promotion of the results will happen through project's logo, through patches that will be given to participants, through outdoor activities so than we establish strong interaction with the local community.
