PROJECT
FINISHED
Building on the successful project in June 2014 in the small town of
Puerto Real in Spain, young people from local organizations met in the
project our Czech group. Activities were focused on creativity, mutual
understanding of both cultures and common creating a graffiti on a
building in this city. The project had great deal of support and
publicity of the local authorities and the press. A close cooperation
between the two organizations and friendships between the members of
both groups was established. In this follow-up project, we intended to
further develop our cooperation and to continue the activities that we
see current and necessary for young people in both organizations.
Our project will was held from 3th to 12th July 2015 in Prague and
in a chalet in Krkonose mountains. Both groups from Spain and Czech
Republic participated in this project. Both groups were integrated and
in both groups were involved participants with disabilities and socially
disadvantaged people. Both groups consisted of 28 participants, two of
them were project leaders. In both groups, all participants have already
participated in the previous project in Spain. The topic of our project
was creativity and mutual understanding of different culture, for these
ideas we used the theme graffiti. In Prague, we explored the positive
and negative effects of street-art and its expression and participants
discussed this topic.
In the second part of the project, both groups traveled to the mountain
chalet, where they were accommodated and where creative workshops and
outdoor sports activities were held.
The artist of the Spanish group processed graphically suggested topics by participants, the whole group
then created a billboard on a selected topic.. The project contributed to the personal development of
each participant, to strengthen his creativity, social communication and
cultural awareness. This was crucial especially for people with
disabilities or for socially disadvantaged.
