Broadening the Bioinformatics Infrastructure to unicellular, animal, and plant science
(ALLBIO)
Start date: Oct 1, 2011,
End date: Sep 30, 2014
PROJECT
FINISHED
The main aim of AllBio will be the coordination of the partner's activities that are aimed at the extension of a large number of bioinformatics facilities towards applicability in target life science areas beyond human health. Bioinformatics facilities developed for the human health area will be extensively tested on unicellular (incl. bacterial), plant and (farm) animal genomes, and they will be tightly integrated in the wider frame-work of Elixir infrastructure activities. AllBio will develop a coordinated action plan for the harvest of the information from 'omics' data related to other species than Homo sapiens.
