The proposed project has 12 activities, which will be implemented in an integrated and coherent way to contribute to the achievement of the overall and specific objectives of the programme. The partnership under the project will ensure the cross border cooperation, transfer of knowledge and know-how from the business to the students and between countries. The project will support establishment of a University-Business network, enhancing students’ employability skills, creating 2 hubs, which will ensure sustainability of the university-business model. The analyses of the employability skills, the trainings organised for the students and the interactive employability skills map will ensure continuity of the project, as it will facilitate the development of human resources in the region and enhancement the competitive advantages of the companies. Innovative practices, piloted and implemented, will contribute to the achievement of the project goals and the economic growth of the region. Achievements: The overall project objective met was the contribution, through networking and cooperation, to the investment in human capital as one of the most valuable resources of the cross-border area and facilitating cooperation between universities and the business. The specific objectives of the project were: Contribution to the establishment of a University-Business network to serve as a sustainable model for innovative cooperation in the cross border region; Development of a set of soft and professional skills of students that would be implemented in concrete research and applied projects with the business; Provision of a model for the "knowledge triangle", as an interaction of education, knowledge and innovation in the region; Facilitation of innovative university-business practices in the border region; Exchange of know-how and good innovative practices between universities in the border region; Establishment of joint university-business hubs for research and cooperation;Outputs met: 1 interactive model was created for self-assessment of employability skills; http://bridges-bgmk.com; 7 training material sets on employability skills were developed; 2 training places created; 333 people participating in trainings; 170 people with enhanced skills; 12 business to education linkages; 45 people from vulnerable groups trained; 3 scientific exchanges and transfers of know-how; 12 networking structures created/developed.
