PROJECT
FINISHED
Although there is a legal framework for the use of Hungarian language in everyday life as a mother tongue, there is a tendency for less use of it. Children are unmotivated to invest the effort and with absence of parent persistence, they exceed to classes with instructions in Serbian language. Primary target group for our project are school children, age eight to eighteen, whose mother tongue is Hungarian. Project activities will be held in Zrenjanin, Middle Banat County and in Szentes, Csongrad County from April 2010, until November 2010. This project is a useful way to strengthen student’s motivation for education on Hungarian language and to increase number of children in Hungarian classes. Activities that will be carried through this project will provide children with the experience of consuming art in their own language. Through this project we are expecting to create cultural connection and interchange between two adjacent areas, to strengthen and indicate the importance of minority language use, to strengthen motivation of young people to work and create on Hungarian. Through the project we are planning to establish better links between cultural institutions in the two regions, to acquire moreinformation and knowledge about cultural heritage. Achievements: promo campaign, web site, workshop, Summer Modern Dance Festival (22 children from Zrenjanin performed play on festival), 3day long ethno camp in February, theater workshop, Regional theatre festiva, Introduction,Reading corner, musical etno erformance
