Bridge builders - guiding and educating as cross cultural engagement is Erasmus + mobility project. The project will be accomplished in 1.8.2015 - 31.5.2017. There will be eight schools from different parts of Finland participating this project. Our network has been working internationally more than 13 years and we have co-partners in seven European countries. These co-partners are different workplaces offering child care and education. Participants are student studying to be children’s instructors, sing language instructors, school assistant and morning and afternoon instructors and special needs instructors for children and young people. Also staff from all schools and their co-partners from Finnish working life are participating this mobility. With this project it is possible that also students, who need special support, can attend international job training (12 + 12 scholarships). Students (52 scholarships) are working approximately six weeks in an international work place according to their personal aims and Learning Agreement. Staff members (14 scholarships) are doing job shadowing in international work places in approximately one week periods. The most important aims of the project are to increase cross-cultural and vocational skills and to enlarge international co-operation and interaction as well as improve the quality of the international activities. Participants need intercultural skills, since working environments are changing to more and more international direction. The participants also learn cultural sensitive skills. The quality of international operations will be improved by collecting evaluations systematically, by creating a shared international strategy to the network and by developing co-operation between international partners. The results of the program will be spread widely for example through social media, in international meetings, co-operating with working life and with peer support.
