Bretons en Europe Pour une Expérience Professionnelle
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project concerns the network of ten agricultural schools of the Ministry of Agriculture in Brittany, called CREPA (regional association of the agricultural state schools). They offer training courses in agriculture, horticulture, landscape management, environment, agro industries, trade, services to the people, animation, mechanization for students, apprentices and adults from level 3 to level 6 ( bachelor). Each school EPLEFPA ( local state school for teaching and professional training in agriculture ) is divided into 4 departments ( professional and technological college, apprenticeship center, training for adults and technological workshop or farm.) These schools joined together in a consortium for 2 years, aim to gather their resources so as to build together a project of international development, to make them more attractive to future students , offer to their learners the opportunity to have a professional experience in Europe and create a common network of partners. All the collected data will be put together (contacts, descriptions of companies, processes and resources ) in a common data base. The project also aims to make it easier for the person responsible for international cooperation in a school, who often works alone, by creating a regional group working together, which will have a positive impact on the schools and will offer the opportunity to develop an open-minded attitude towards international mobility and give a new stimulus to the pedagogical animation in the schools. The program proposes 3 types of mobility: A mobility period of less than 2 months for learners: Students and apprentices will have individual or mobility in a group (from 2 to 4 weeks) , with in some situations, the possibility of an accompanying adult. A mobility period of more than 2 months for adult trainees, young graduates to reinforce their professional skills and increase their employability Mobility for staff, teachers, trainers and professionals for one week to give them a knowledge of European systems of education and mobility practices. A technical committee will conduct the program (animator and international cooperation referent in each school) and a steering committee will follow and adapt the program. A data base will give the opportunity to the participants to follow the steps of the program and to centralize the information produced and data. The preparation for departure will be organized in each school or through organized groups. The documents to assist the participants will be written by all the schools. The network will use the tools produced by the Ministry of Agriculture (website - moveagri ). The participants will receive a Europass certificate. The promotion and valorization activities carried out by each school will be promoted by the website of the network. The expected results are a common data base which centralizes: Contacts, description of enterprises and partners Commons tools to prepare, organize, follow and valorize the mobility Descriptions of European schools and the organization of the degree courses Validation of the new knowledge We expect the learners to gain more self-confidence, and to develop a stronger sense of their own capacities and after such an experience abroad to have a better employability. We hope that the mobility of professionals will make them feel more involved in the mobility of learners and encourage them to host European learners in their enterprises. The expected impact is the development of new pedagogical skills for teachers, the international development of schools and of the network, and a new dynamic in the teaching team. This program may reinforce the appeal of the schools in their area and create a better cooperation with the professional partners. Concerning the regional level we hope for the construction of a stronger common identity of the network. The results, the involvement of the teachers and their increased skills may offer them the opportunity to participate in the European programs of the Ministry (eg Twinning) or of the municipalities or regions. This is expected to develop in the future key2 programs
