Breaking stereotypes

The exchange project " Breaking stereotypes" will be implemented in Armenia from 4 -14 of April with 6 partner countries and 5 participants from each country. This youth exchange will be the result of the partnership. And is the second stage of the exchange program " We are all different-We are all human" that took place in France, Nancy 17-27 October 2010. This time together with the French partner it was decide to implement the project in Armenia, with the involvement of such countries as Georgia, Germany,Poland and Italy. The project aims to gather 30 youngsters (4 participants +1 leader) to study the inter cultural relations between the countries, traditions through joint work, study sessions and volunteer work. The project will also involve presentation about Youth in Action Program( describing each Action separately). Participants will be involved in different activities (sport activities, traditional dances and games, volunteer work). Each country will present also national culture, songs and dances of the country. This will give opportunity to youngster to see the differences in their cultures and they will be given task to find similar values that they have and make joint presentation about it. With the help of this project and crosscultural communication will help youngsters to break stereotypes that they had about each others and see the real picture. The program will be rich with team building activities and work, energizers, cultural study through volunteering work and will be devoted to the Year of Citizens. Different activities and team building games and joint work will allow to strengthen the understanding and support the youth from 4 different countries as well as tolerance, mutual understanding, respect to other cultures, solidarity and integration between nations.
