Project tittle: "BPJ for youth Eco-innovation" Nº of participants: 24, 28 including the team Venue: Arriondas, Asturias, Spain Language: English Target group: youth workers, facilitators, trainers, youth leaders working with unemployed young people “BPJ for Youth Eco-innovation” is a 7-day residential training course for Youth Workers on Backpack Journalism (BPJ) on how to make the most when promoting hands on youth eco-innovation workshops. The objective is to inspire and motivate youth workers on how to use BPJ in sustainability grassroots projects, as well as to equip them with knowledge and skills about BPJ by the use of active learning programs. The TC works on three learning dimensions, learning by thinking critically, learning by empathy and learning by doing (HEAD, HEART, HANDS). Which will be explored and experienced during the training, acquiring and sharing knowledge on media literacy, critical thinking, multicultural team work and practical workshops to put BPJ method in practice. The course is designed to pay high attention to ecological awareness, with the intention to plant a seed by performing practical actions that directly contribute to the sustainability of learning mobilities. These sustainable actions will be implemented and reported (with the help of BPJ skills) by participants in small groups, taking direct action on CO2 compensation, as well as enhancing food awareness and responsibility.
