The 2016 JM project is represented by the conference BORDERS, IDENTITIES, COMMUNITIES: The Road to Reconciliation and Partnership in Central and Eastern Europe. This is the third consecutive event organized under the umbrella of Disintegration Integration in East-Central Europe (DIECE) Conference Series, a concept which was successfully launched in 2012 within the frame of the JM LLLP. The event will be hosted by the Institute for Cultural Diplomacy, Berlin, Germany, on 14-15 April 2016. The 2016 edition is placed under the official patronage of Mr Klaus Johannis, the President of Romania.The conference will be divided into six panels:1989: The End of Europe’s Division. A New Europe through IntegrationChallenges to European Reconciliation: National Populism in Eastern and Central EuropeCommunities and Borders in Eastern European Euro-regionTeaching National History without Hard Feelings?French-German Partnership – A Visible Model for Reconciliation in Central and Eastern EuropeGouvernance et (Re)Constructions Nationales aux Frontières de l'Europeplus a PHD STUDENTS PANEL: European Union Today- Historical and Political DimensionThe academic and scientific results will be disseminated and validated by means of a volume published by Nomos Publishing House. The reviewed papers presented by PhD participants will be published in the international indexed Online Journal Modelling the New Europe of the Faculty of European Studies – CEEOL, EBSCO, DOAJ, etc. The envisaged target groups are formed by academics, researchers, PhD students, but also by civil society, local authorities, and general public. The project on-line repository of the most important publications regarding the integration idea, the development and future of the European Union: The Road to Reconciliation and Partnership in Central and Eastern Europe will make sure the visibility of the scientific results of the project extends to a much wider target group
