The project Bonds of friendship will connect 48 young people, aged 14-15 years, from three twin municipalities: Šentjur (Slovenia), Neu Anspach (Germany) and Saint Florent sur Cher (France). The eight days youth exchange, which will be implemented already for the third time in Šentjur, will focus on development of new educational products and on development of new socio-economic system called “Sharing economy”. The participants will create a common social game, as a symbol of networking, which will enable local people to learn about attractions of twin municipalities and to get to know the other culture’s characteristics and learn some basics words in Slovenian, German and English language. On the project we will also test a new economic system which bases on non-monetary trading, where people are sharing or exchanging things they posses, but don’t need, for something they do need. People can share or exchange both human and physical resources. The participants will present the system on 4 primary schools in Šentjur municipality. Young people will with these activities get concrete experiences of using entrepreneurship competences and creativity. They will also be able to develop other skills and competences such as communication in foreign languages, public speaking, team work etc. The rest of the project activities will include sports and outdoors activities. On the last day they will prepare the event for local youth, parents and members of local public institutions, where the common game and other project results will be presented. The purpose of the project is to share a message to local people about our idea of solutions for better future. Those can be reached only by connection and cooperation among local people and by solidarity, which brings positive values and leaves no space for unnecessary whims of capitalism.
