The project "Blue note still sounds" which will be realized in LicheA±, Poland is aimed at bringing together 36 young people aged 15-20 from Poland, Latvia and Ukraine for a 9-days youth exchange. We are three groups that attend Young Artist’s Circles after school. Our activities which we plan to organize during our youth exchange will comprise: artistic workshops, discussions on European integration and what it means to become a European and presentation of national folk culture of our countries: Poland, Latvia and Ukraine. Inspired by the works of Chopin we would like to find the blue note of genius in ourselves. Our activities will develop European consciousness and deepen social integration. During the national evenings each group will present their national traditions, such as: traditional wedding customs, music and ballroom dancing, national delicacies and cuisine and our regional customs of Poland, Latvia and Ukraine. Basing on Chopin example we would like to raise the awareness of physical education and its importance for further intellectual activities, hence we plan to organize kind of half-marathon with prizes where we also plan to engage the local community. The end product of our exchange will be a happening underlining the importance of folk culture entitled ″Bring Chopin to your homes‴ and a trilingual booklet (basing on Chopin’s pattern of ″Kurier Szafarski‴) which we plan to issue after the exchange ends.
