BIThe part of BIT! (Bodi del Bita) is a project of the European Voluntary Service which includes four deprived volunteers from Poland and Macedonia. People participating in the project will be young unemployed persons or persons who abandoned education. Each volunteer will spend nine months in Bela krajina. Since Bela krajina, Kavadarce and Kielce suffer from similar problems derived from unemployment, the volunteers will develop personal projects which will raise the employability level of youth and raise awareness about youth unemployment. For the duration of the project, they will be an equal member of the youth center BIT team. They will help with the day to day running of the info office, offer assistance on existing projects, learn about operations of other organizations in Črnomelj, and compare Slovene, Macedonian and Polish culture. They will also help with the organization of festivals and sport events while creatively trying promote the Erasmus + programme. Despite different work methods used in the project, we will try to put the emphasis on creativity as well as encourage self-initiative. What we wish to achieve with the project is to increase the number of events and strengthen the openness of our organization. We wish to raise awareness of our volunteers about planning for a personal career and developing competences to increase employment possibilities after the project ends. We will strive to give the volunteers the special feeling and awareness about the meaning of inclusion of people from the edge of society.
